Press Statement in Appreciation of All Nurses and Midwives on the Celebration of the Nursing and Midwifery Day 2020

May 1, 2020 - The Board Chair, Board Members and Registrar extend highest appreciation to ALL Nurses and Midwives on the Celebration of your days; May 5, 2020 for Midwives and May 12, 2020 for Nurses.

All these days are justly set aside for recognizing the impactful works you to for mankind, we join the world to recognise your Clinical, Managerial, Educational and Administrative expertise you have and are applying to serve and safe the Liberian Population.

Globally, 2020 was selected as the Year of the Nurses and Midwives: In our view, Liberinan Nurses and Midwives have worked beyond imagination in serving the population in the normal health services along with the strenous fight against the COVID-19. You ALL have proven your pragmatic skills with Resillent Compassion in saving the lives of Liberians.

Midwives Day theme: Midwives with Women: Celebrate, Demonstrate, Mobilize, Unite, out time is now!

Like Florense Nightingale, your selfless devotion to caring for Patients have demonstrated so well your space of being the largest, the closest, and the frontline fighters in the health system of the Republic of Liberia.

Your enthusiasm of caring and applying professionalism as first responders have kept our health system responsive and strong in these times.
